History

The FNV

The germ of the FNV began more than a hundred years ago, Dutch Catholic Association (NKV), founded in 1909, and originally socialist Dutch Confederation of Trade Unions (NVV), which was created in 1906.

In the seventies of the last century, they decided to enter into a partnership with the CNV (Christian National Trade Union). However, after several discussions, the CNV dropped out. NKV and NVV decided to indeed go together. And so merged on 1 January 1982, the NVV NKV and the FNV , the Dutch Federation of Trade Unions.

FNV

Several unions FNV Over the years then fused. So include ABVAKABO FNV and FNV arise, the two largest unions FNV. In total there are 19 FNV unions.

FNV was created on January 1, 1998 from a merger of Dienstenbond, Power Bond, Bond Industry and Transportation Bond.
