The Home Workers Trade Union of Nepal (HUN) was formed after the merge of the Nepal Independent Domestic Workers’ Union, Home Based Workers’ Union, Gold and Silver Ornament Workers Trade Union and Thanka artists Trade Union.

Objectives

History

Nepal Independent Domestic Workers Union (NIDWU) was established on 2 Feb 2006. It has been an affiliate of Gefont, Nepal. On 15 Sep 2013, the union merged with other four home-based workers unions, Home Based Workers’ Union, Gold and Silver Ornament Workers Trade Union and Thanka artists Trade Union, into HUN.
