Domestic workers together with the 48,000 protesters at 1 July Democracy Rally, demanding for general universal suffrage.

FADWU (Hong Kong Federation of Asian Domestic Workers Unions) and its affiliates PLU (Progressive Labour Union of Domestic Workers), ODWU( Overseas Domestic Workers Union), TMWU (Thai Migrant Workers Union), HKDWGU (Hong Kong Domestic Workers General Union) rallied together with an Indonesian domestic workers group, the AMP (Alliance of Progressive Migrants).
